"I will not be satisfied until every man, woman, and child experiences the joy of the creative process. At Tangle, we help nurture this process through the development of fun, creative, and engaging art and playthings that are aesthetically pleasing and meant to be touched, held, and experienced. --Richard X Zawitz”

Tangle Toy Safety Policy and Guidelines

Tangle products are not suitable for children under 36 months, due to small parts.

Tangle products conform to ASTM F963 & EN71.

Tangle products are lead-free, latex-free, and do not contain phthalates.

Each of these substances often found in toys, can be very harmful to children which is why we are proud to produce harm-free toys.

Please see below for more background on two of these chemicals.

Lead – Lead is a heavy metal that is used in a wide variety of children’s products. It is often used as a stabilizer in PVC/vinyl products and for pigmentation in paint, rubber, plastics, and ceramics. It can impact brain development, causing learning and developmental problems, among other things. Scientists have found that there is no safe level of lead for children and thus we at Tangle are completely lead free. None of our products are produced with lead and all products pass a series of tests to insure there is no trace of lead. On top of this, none of our products have ever been recalled.

Phthalates- Phthalates are a group of chemicals used in many plastics and personal care products. Phthalates are often used as a softening agent to make plastic flexible and more durable. This chemical has been shown to disturb normal hormonal processes and has been linked to altered level of reproductive hormones in baby boys. We are happy to produce phthalates free toys that are healthy and safe for children of all ages to play with.

As well as producing lead-free, latex-free, and phthalates-free products, Tangle is also a member of TIA (Toy Industry Association) and very committed to ensuring that every Tangle product complies with all new and existing Toy Safety concerns.
